I'm excited to be here and share this journey with you all. If you are like me; you are driven, curious, and passionate. We all could use a little inspiration, motivation, and encouragement. 

This podcast was inspired by my constant desire to grow, learn, and evolve as a person and share valuable conversations with others seeking the same. 

The very meaning of this Podcast is to evoke positive change in our lives so that we can become the best version of our authentic self. Which we then can live our lives more passionately and purposefully.

I'll bring on inspiring guests, some who are professionals in their field, some who are titans of their industry, and others that speak from life experience... meaning conversations that inspire us to be bold and build our inner landscape. 

This is a place to encourage us to BE and BECOME better daily.

My guest today is actually someone I’ve had my sights on since the beginning of starting my podcast. We all know the importance and benefits of incorporating meditation into our lives and my guest today has been an expert leader in teaching meditation for over 14 years. Today we not only dive into some insight on meditation, but how to make more space for inspiration in our life to come in. 

Welcome my guest, Light Watkins. Light is a bestselling author, an accomplished meditation teacher, founder of The Shine Movement, and an inspirational keynote speaker and workshop leader. He has delivered over 500 wellness-themed talks around the globe since 2007.

Light first began attending yoga and meditation classes in the late 1990’s in New York City while working as a fashion model. In 2003, he met a Vedic Meditation teacher and felt called to become a teacher himself. After apprenticing with his teacher for several years in Los Angeles, Light was invited to India to be trained in the ancient ways of meditation teaching. Since 2007, Light has personally taught thousands of people from all walks of life how to enjoy a daily meditation practice, and he’s impacted many more through his books and videos.

Light now facilitates workshops and retreats around the world, and gives talks on happiness, mindfulness, inspiration, and meditation. He's Written Two Best-sellers: The Inner Gym: A 30-Day Workout for Strengthening Happiness, and Bliss More: How to Succeed in Meditation Without Really Trying.

He has also written many articles on meditation, inspiration, and he’s also been sending out a popular daily inspirational email each morning since 2016, which is called Light’s Daily Dose of Inspiration. His newest book, Knowing Where to Look: 108 Daily Dose of Inspiration is now available.
